PM–USHA MERU Scheme

Under the PM–USHA MERU scheme, an action plan for Soft-Components (Sl. No. 27) was implemented by resource persons from the "Future Minds" training institute for final year postgraduate students from various departments of Rani Channamma University main campus from 22.09.2025 to 27.09.2025. The following trainings were provided:

• Training to create self-awareness and improve confidence among students.
• Training to develop communication, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
• Training to strengthen critical and creative thinking abilities.
• Training to provide practical employability and career readiness skills.

Other Programs

• The cell celebrates Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti every year.
• Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti program is celebrated.

Scholarships

Scholarships from the State Government

• Vidyasiri, Raita Vidyanidhi, Karmika Vidyanidhi, Arya Vysya Community Corporation Scholarship, and Handloom Board incentive.

For the above scholarships, after students apply through the SSP portal, the scholarship amount is directly credited to the students' accounts by the respective departments.

Scholarships from the Central Government

• Through the National Scholarship for SC/ST, postgraduate students who have scored more than 75% in their degree are given an incentive.
• Scholarship facilities are provided to students with disabilities through the National Scholarship.
• Scholarship facilities are provided to single girl child students through the National Scholarship.
• Full-time SC/ST research students are provided a fellowship of Rs. 10,000/- per month for 3 years from SCP/TSP grants.

Facilities provided by the University for SC/ST Students

• For full-time SC/ST research students, from the university's internal resources under 24.10%, contingency expenses are provided for 3 years: Rs. 8,000/- for Science stream students and Rs. 6,000/- for Arts stream students. For thesis submission, Rs. 12,000/- for Science stream students and Rs. 10,000/- for Arts stream students are provided as scholarship facilities.
• For SC/ST students residing in Brahmaputra and Krishna hostels, an additional food expense of Rs. 800/- per student per month is provided from the university's internal resources under 24.10%.
• For SC/ST students residing in Brahmaputra and Krishna hostels, due to delays in the food expenses sanctioned by the Social Welfare Department, Rs. 1850/- per student per month is provided from the university's internal resources under 24.10%.

Measures have been taken to ensure that the amount of all the above scholarships and food expenses are directly credited to the students' accounts.
