Dr. Bhavanishankara B is serving as the Librarian (I/c) at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. He completed his Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Mangalore University and obtained his Ph.D. from Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, in 2020.

He has published more than 28 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences, contributing to the advancement of Library and Information Science. His key areas of interest include Library Automation, Information seeking Behaviour, User Education, and Information Services for Rural and Academic Communities.

Dr. Bhavanishankara has been actively involved in transforming the university library into a modern and accessible knowledge centre. He has introduced automation and digital services, making library resources more efficient and user-friendly. He also organizes various academic and outreach programs such as Library Week Celebrations, Book Exhibitions, and Information Literacy Workshops to promote reading habits and research culture among users.

He is a Life Member of the Indian Library Association (ILA), and Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (IATLIS).

With his commitment to innovation, service, and academic excellence, Dr. Bhavanishankara B continues to contribute to the growth and modernization of the Rani Channamma University Library.
