About facility / Service- objective:

The RCU Gymkhana along with its infrastructure is an organization to foster and develop all student activities in the University;
It aims at promoting and developing organizational abilities in students;
It has been successful over the years in evolving a well-informed, articulate and participatory student community life;
It has been instrumental in identifying student issues and promoting discussion on them;
To inculcate spirit of sportsmanship, social service and leadership among students.
To participate in sports, and cultural activities organized by the University.
It functions as the office for all election and nominations of students for gymkhana activities.
To provide for outdoor games, indoor games, health improvement and other social recreations & amenities.

The Purpose of P.G. Gymkhana Rani Channamma University, Belagavi

Nurturing a sense of unity among students leading to comprehensive and versatile development of every student,
Encouraging a positive spirit and inspiring fellow students to achieve their goals and fine success.
Promoting a sense of equality amongst students irrespective of their gender, caste, creed, color, race, nationality, and language.
Stimulating students to be responsible and better citizens of the world

Roles & Responsibility

To encourage extracurricular activities in the University;
To select students representatives from all department ;
To provide assistance for students to students in participation in national and international level activities;
To provide coaching facilities and organize sports competitions and tournaments between at different levels of University colleges and gymkhana.

Program Details

The Gymkhana Department successfully organized a series of cultural, sports, and community participation programs in the University. These events were graced by distinguished dignitaries from various fields, whose esteemed presence added dignity, prestige, and inspiration to the activities, motivating students and participants to excel in their respective areas.

Dr. Shamita Malnad, Composer, Playback singer. She is known for her works in the Kannada film industry, as well as her works from Sugama Sangeetha and Devotional albums.
Sri. Moin Junnedi, Inspirational Indian para swimmer and a "wonder boy" champion
Sri. H. Dundiraj well-known figure in the world of Kannada literature and performing arts, particularly recognized for his humorous poetry (hasyakavana), short humorous poems (hanigavana), and comedy dramas.
Dr. Ramesh Aravind, Mononymously as Ramesh, is an Indian actor, director, screenwriter and television presenter, predominantly in Kannada, in addition to Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.
Ms. Vijayeta, IAS
Prof. M. Krishnegowda, Renowned orator, writer, and educationist from Mysore who is famous for his eloquent and witty speeches in Kannada.
Sri. Dinesh Kumar Meena, I.A.S., (Probationary) Assistant Commissioner, Belagavi
Sri. Bhaskar Rao, I.P.S., Holding several senior positions in Karnataka, such as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP)
