Activities

PM–USHA MERU Project

Under the PM–USHA MERU project, Soft-Components Action Plan No. 27 training was provided by resource persons from Future Minds training institute to final year postgraduate students of Rani Channamma University main campus from 22.09.2025 to 27.09.2025. The following trainings were provided:

• Training to create self-awareness and improve confidence among students.
• Training to develop communication, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
• Training to strengthen critical and creative thinking abilities.
• Practical employability and career readiness skills training.

Other Events

• Sri Bhakta Kanakadasa Jayanti is celebrated every year by the unit.
• As per government order, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's birthday was celebrated as Education Day on 11.11.2025.

Scholarships

Scholarships provided by State Government

• Vidyasiri, Raita Vidyanidhi, Labour Vidyanidhi, Arya Vaishya Community Corporation Scholarship, and Handloom Board Incentive.

For the above scholarships, after students apply through the SSP Portal, the scholarship amount is credited directly to the students' accounts by the respective departments.

Scholarships provided by Central Government

• Incentive from Minority Department via National Scholarship for PG students scoring more than 75% in their degree.
• Scholarship facility for students with disabilities via National Scholarship.
• Scholarship facility for single girl child via National Scholarship.
• For Backward Class full-time research scholars, a fellowship of Rs. 10,000/- per month for 3 years is provided. Upon receiving 75% attendance from departments every month, the unit submits the attendance to the District Deputy Director, Backward Classes Welfare Department, Belagavi, for direct credit to the students' accounts.
• Monthly scholarship facility for Minority full-time research scholars from the Minority Department.

Steps have been taken to ensure that the scholarship amounts for all the above facilities are credited directly to the students' accounts.
