Brief Introduction

Rani Channamma University came into existence in the year 2010 for the needs of socially and economically backward students of North Karnataka and its surrounding districts, namely; Belagavi, Bagalkot, and Vijayapur.

P.G. Halakatti Post Graduate Centre Toravi Vijayapur is part of the Rani Channamma University Belagavi since from its inception with a campus area of 31 acres. The centre is offering two years Post Graduate programme in various disciplines Namely History and Archeology, Commerce, Kannada and Computer Science. Over 80% of students of this Centre belong to SC/ST/OBC/Minority community and 50% of them hail from rural area.

The centre has well qualified faculty members to impart quality education to the students. Faculty members are actively involved in Teaching and Research activities, The P.G. Centre is also offering Ph.D. programme in History and Archeology, Computer Science, Commerce and Kannada.

The academic performance of students is observed to be very high obtaining a number of rank consistency in the university examinations. The Centre has 20 mbps broad band leased line internet connectivity. Well established computer lab and well-equipped library with digital sufficient e-resources facility. Recently library has introduced e-digital library connectivity for providing online sources to the faculty, research scholar and students.
