(Computer Science) in 2003 and Ph.D. (Computer Science) in 2009. He is having more than 24 years of teaching experience. Dr. Parashuram Bannigidad: Associate professor Department of Computer Science, Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, Karnataka, India. He has obtained M.Sc. (Information Technology) Degree in 2003, M.Phil. (Computer Science) Degree in 2006 and Ph.D.(Computer Science) Degree in 2012. He has started his teaching career since 2007. His research areas of interest are Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Document Image Analysis, Bioinformatics, Nanotechnology and Nano-Science, Medical and Bio-medical Image Processing. He has published more than 70 research papers in peer reviewed International Journals, Book Chapters and Proceedings of Conferences. Dr. Mallamma V. Reddy Qualification: MCA Ph.D.,K-SET Designation: Assistant Professor

Dr. Mallamma V. Reddy: Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science, Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. She has conferred her Ph.D. (computer Science) in 2014 in the area of “Multilingual Cross language Information Retrieval” from Bangalore University, Bangalore. M.C.A from BMSIT, Bangalore affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi in 2007 and She cleared her KSET. She has teaching and research experience of 12 years. She has awarded with “ISCA Young Scientist award-2013(computer Science and information technology)” by Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) and “Great Cited Award-2013” by IOAJ. She worked as the project fellow of UGC-Major Research Project. She has published two books and 38 research papers in peer reviewed international journals and conference proceeding. Mr. T. R. Arunkumar, Assistant Professor He holds BE degree in Computer Science and Engg. In 2014 and M.Tech. in Computer Engineering in 2016 from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. He has worked with the organization like HP, IBM, TechM and Xalted Information Systems in various capacities and roles. ALUMNI MEET

The Alumni Meet committee of Computer Science Department, Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, is rigorously scheduled for every year, at University Campus.

• The alumni’s share their experiences and advise existing students to increase their knowledge in the core subjects for seeking jobs and become more aware of Communication and Soft Skills.
• They suggested that, the students to be taken to various companies.
• They suggested to conduct a large number of workshops / seminars and to emphasize on Training and Placement.
• They suggested to orienting information on KSET, NET, Career Guidance and competitive exams.
• The Alumni Association Executive Committee was re-constituted for every year to impart, communicate and coordinate with the alumni’s of the University for Betterment of their feature.

PARENT MEET

The Parent Meet of Computer Science Department, Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, is scheduled for every year, at University Campus.

• In a parent meet the professors of the Department of Computer Science, welcomed all the parents and parents who attended the meeting, providing comprehensive information on the functioning and development of the department.
• Parents briefly discussed with their professors about their children's future in teaching and other emerging fields.
• The feedback is taken from the parents that cover 21 different questions ranging from Institution, administration, academic activities, library, basic necessities, examinations, and teacher student’s coordination and over all development of university. Out of 21 questions 7 questions are related to academic interest. In the feedback parents also suggested that, there is a revision of existing syllabus to match with industrial requirements. This feedback is also considered at the time of syllabus revision 
• Parents thanked all professors for teaching their children in a good way.

• The Department of Computer Sciences, Rani Channamma University is organizing Orientation Programme on “NET/KSET” continuously with an objective to create awareness about the NET/KSET exam to MSc.(CS) The special lecture on “Frontier areas in Physical Sciences for College Teachers” was held by School of Basic Sciences & School of Mathematics abd Computing Sciences, Rani Channamma University, Belagavi-2019-20 on 17/01/2020 at 10.00 am in Kevempu Hall, RCUB., MCA Students and Research Scholars.

FACILITIES:

The Department of Computer Science maintains the dedicated Computing and Network infrastructure to support its Academics and Research. The department also provides access to its computing resources to other Departments in the University. The network has a backbone operating at 2Gbps and spans entire building to provide network services (both switched and Wi-Fi) to all the Departments in the University. Two Computer Laboratories have been setup one from University fund and another one from VGST K-FIST grant of Government of Karnataka. There are 65 Computers with state-of-art specifications connected to the network accommodated with printing needs. Class-rooms and laboratories are well equipped with LCD projects.
