      It engages with the ongoing transformations of society to deliver world-class physical and digital content and services critical to research, education and outreach now and in the future.

      The Library acts an abode of learning space and builds partnerships within and outside the university. It invests in its staff, collections and physical and virtual libraries. And, it serves as a neutral and trusted party supporting information access and scholarly communication.

      About Library:

      The University Library came into existence with the establishment of the Rani Channamma University on 09-09-2010. Till then, it was functioning as Karnatak University, Kittur Rani Channamma P.G Centre Belgaum. The library act as nerve center, catering to the academic and research needs of the students, the researcher and the faculty members of 19 posts graduate departments covering all schools.

      Book Collection:

      At the time of the establishment of the University in 2010, the library had a Collection 19385 books. The collection of the library has grown up considerably within a span of three years covering literature of various aspects of science, Social science and humanities.     Dr.C.M. Thyagaraja is the Registrar (Evaluation) of Rani Chennamma University, Belagavi Prior to this assignment, he served as Registrar (Evaluation) of Kuvempu University,Shankaraghatta,Shivamogga(dist.) and served at Rani Chennamma University, Belagavi as the Director, School of Business and Economics. He is instrumental in Strengthening the Department of Business Administration as a founder Chairman. He also served as - Member of Syndicate & Academic Council, both the policy making Bodies of Rani Chennamma University. He served as the Executive Director of Karnataka Vocational Training & Skill Development Corporation, Bangalore and initiated changes in the Institutional Mechanism for skill development of youths in the State of Karnataka.

    Dr. C.M. Thyagaraja, hails from Chickmagalur District of Karnataka State. He did his early schooling in Chickmagalur and Graduated and Post – Graduated from Mysore University with Rank in Masters. He also did his Post –Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management with 1st Rank from Kuvempu University. His Research work on “Problems and Prospects of Goods Transport – A Case of Shimoga District” was awarded a Ph.D. by Kuvempu University. He has a rich teaching experience of more than 28 years at Graduate & Post Graduate levels..

    Dr. C.M. Thyagaraja is the author of 13 books and also authored more than 38 articles which are published at National and International Levels. Major works are – Goods Transport System in India, The Second White Revolution, Dynamics of Human Resource Planning, Fundamentals of Project Management, Managerial Economics – Decisions & Cases, Fundamentals of Performance Management & Competency Mapping. He has carried out UGC funded Research Projects and Submitted Reports. Government of United Kingdom invited him for Round Table on English Language Skills for Employability Think Tank as an Official Visitor. He presented papers in the International conferences at Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore. .

    Dr. C.M. Thyagaraja is a motivator and trainer. He conducted workshops on Leadership, Skill Development, Goal Setting, SWOT analysis, Time Management, Study Skills, Personality Development, Psychometric Analysis, Value Education, and Relaxing Techniques. He participated in National and International Conferences to present papers and to contribute as a Lead Speaker. His lectures have social concern which are well received by society wherein he voiced strongly for Women Empowerment, Environmental Protection, and Development Agenda of Developing Nations, Values for Life, Lasting Biographies, Industry today and tomorrow. He is the member of NSQF, IEA, IMA, ICA, PMA, NAB and other prominent organizations. He is popular for Motivating student community and youth throughout his service. His concern and contribution is well recognized, appreciated and awarded by Academia, Industry and Society.

    The College Development Council (CDC) shall be an authority of the University and function as academic guide for the integrated development of affiliated colleges. In consultation with the University the CDC shall take all such steps as it may think fit for the promotion, Co ordination and elevating the Standards of education in colleges. It serves as a link between the UGC, the AICTE, the NCTE, the Higher Education Department and Karnataka State Higher Education Council and affiliated Colleges.

    Functions of CDC

    • The CDC shall act as a focal point for the integrated development of affiliated colleges in the University.
    • The CDC, subjected to the fulfillment of defined conditions shall accords permission/affiliation to run a college.
    • Every year CDC invites applications from colleges for affiliation and organizes inspections to colleges for extending the temporary affiliation from time to time or permanent affiliation.
    • Based on the permission and after verification of the basic infrastructure viz, laboratories, faculty, Library and other basic amenities the CDC accords affiliation to the colleges to run the courses.
    • The Council helps in the all round development of the colleges subject to the commitment of the management in abiding to the rules and regulations from time to time.
    • Review the inspecting reports of the colleges and suggest remedies for the defects and irregularities registered.
    • CDC keep close contact with the colleges and help them in sustained development of academic and student amenities in the colleges, proper Utilization of grants and effective implementation of UGC projects and reforms to make them more relevant and significant keeping in mind not only to students, but also to the region by assessing social transformation and regional development.
    • Review the facilities in PG departments of college in terms of the norms prescribed by the UGC and assist those having potential of coming up to the norms.
    • Evaluate and assess the impact of grants of UGC etc utilized by the colleges for the implementation of various projects.
    • Ensure that the grants released from UGC to the colleges are properly and wisely utilized for the purpose and furnish to the UGC or such funding agency Utilization Certificates and completing documents in respect of grants released and help in maintaining the UGC and other programs implemented by the affiliated colleges.
    • Ensure close and continued contact and interaction between the academic faculties of the University teaching departments and the colleges.
    • To help colleges in formulating proposals for development grants from UGC.
    • To encourage college teachers to undertake Ph.D and M.Phil programs and avail the UGC assistance and as well to apply for Minor Research and Major Research Projects.
    • Perform such other functions as may be prescribed or as may be deemed necessary by the Universities for advancing the cause of collegiate education incidental or conducive in discharge of the above functions.
